At the 27th International Conference on Materials and Technology prof. Kunaver presented the BIOECO RDI project and the new innovative solution of exploring wood biomass for obtaining bio-based materials and its possible usage in the industry for the improvement of biobased products for general use. The innovative procedure, pilot plant production, and new materials, as well as the results of certain ongoing tests and tested improvements, were presented to professionals from science institutes, universities and industry that are active in the fields of: metallic materials, biomaterials, composite materials, ceramics, polymers, additive manufacturing, nanomaterials, simulation and modelling with the desire to maximize the transfer of basic to applied science with high added value.
